What it's all about

Above you will find:
*Random Crap: This is where I place all of the things that started out as Facebook statuses or Tweets that wound up being way too involved, alongside any other random thoughts I decided to put on the Interwebs. Most of it is reposted from my first attempt at a blog, so if it looks familiar...I will be really surprised because nobody read that blog. Actually, I'm surprised anyone's reading this one. Madame Johanna sounds like it could be an escort service, is that what you were looking for? Boy, you must be disappointed.

*Nerd Land: Here you will find my obnoxiously outspoken observations on different movies, shows, and books that I can't talk about with people in person without getting slapped in the face for being annoying. If you like  long-winded analysis of the Harry Potter books, you will like it here. There may also be a short story or two.

*Queendom: I just added this because apparently it needed its own section in my world. When something happens in the world of womanhood that needs venting, this is where it lives. Please enjoy my angry intersectional feminist rants and dissections of toxic masculinity because I am apparently too loud on the topic to discuss it in person.

Let me say upfront that I have a very love-hate relationship with the whole idea of "blogging." I'm at a fun age where most of my peers who have blogs use them to advertise their impending marriage or child-rearing or post-grad big-kid jobs; my newsfeed is literally littered with newlyweds and newlymothers and newlyhireds describing their newlylives with the brilliant singsong of a summers day. If you are one of these people, good for you. Know that all of your friends who are still struggling and broke, scraping jobs out of the bottom of the employment barrel while their Bachelors degrees gather dust in the corner, secretly resent you and think of you bitterly while they drink.

So, is it hypocritical that I am now an official blogger? Kind of, but I'm an unpublished writer with a creative writing degree that I have to use somehow. Judging me for blogging is kind of like judging a chef for having a preference of oil types or being able to actually name and properly use all the different shapes of forks. Comes with the job.

That said, if anyone wants to give me an actual paying writing job, I'll tell you what I tell people who ask about my relationship status: I am painfully available.
